Infographics: Timelines

work performed:
Art Direction Sébastien D, Design Geoff Albores

For a number of clients and in various industries, I have been tasked in ideating, creating, directing and producing a number of interactive timelines. These presented as entertainment, or to help customers locate a product in time, or learn about a person or places in history.

These examples have been used for product launches, within products, during real world events, for corporate business processes situations and of course in Customer Journey Presentations, in my UX design & research work.

Following are some examples.

The Tree! Timeline

For the website of the Christmas Tree at Rockfeller Center (45 Rockfeller Plaza) , I was tasked as an Art Director, with creating a timeline attaching the size and documentary information about the yearly Christmas tree with historical events to give context to the tree.

The Client Tishman Speyer Realty, wanted a site that touched on the classic Deco architecture of the Rockefeller center, but also reflected on the forward nature of their company, one of the largest corporate collectors of modern art in the world.

Newsweek 75th anniversary magazine covers timeline

For newsweek.com, I worked on an interactive timeline to show the evolution of the magazines covers from it’s founding.

Here are some development wireframes and UI sketches.

Susan Sontag Life interactive Timeline

As the creative lead design and producing the website for the documentary film, “Regarding Susan Sontag”, I collaborated with designer Geoff Albores on a number of timeline models, presenting the major events in the life of the cultural theorist, critical thinker and Philosopher Susan Sontag.

We explored a number of different directions, some very abstract, some using real world imagery, some referring to books and writing, others with abstractions of time.
